We finished the title track of our forthcoming album 'monument in black' during our last rehearsal. It's a fucking killing black monolith perfectly fitting the title.

Metal Blade part way with Sonic Reign. Of course this will in no way affect our work on 'monument in black' but we'll have to see whether the album release will be delayed.

[12.06.2009] 'monument in black' ahead

Time has come to oil up the propaganda machinery again. Though there's still some work ahead we hope to record our new album this autumn. It will be called 'monument in black'. We'll of course once again record in Sonic Room Studio. The character of 'monument in black' is a heavier one compared to our previous works. It is more groove based. It's massive, pounding darkness just as the title suggests. We can't wait to record the material and hope for a recording session with less problems than the 'raw dark pure' session. We'll post some songtitles within the next weeks.

Well it's been a quite while since the last news...
The band is currently working heavily on material for the next album. Many of the fragments created so far differ from 'raw dark pure' in some way. But still raw energy is and remains the most important thing within Sonic Reign's sound.
In the login-section of this site you can download the complete '99 "A Journey" demo of Megiddo (from whose ashes Sonic Reign arose). There you'll also find a studio-video from the "raw dark pure"-session. Enjoy!
There have been some new pictures of the band uploaded to SR's MySpace-page that were done by Sathonys (Agathodaimon).

[28.12.2006] Sonic Reign sign deal with Metal Blade Records

SONIC REIGN is very proud to announce that from now on the band will conspire with METAL BLADE RECORDS. “SONIC REIGN is exactly the band we were looking for!” comments Metal Blade Europe spokesman Andreas Reissnauer. “Their songwriting is over the top, their technical abilities of international standards!
